Rental Services

Here at Perno’s Formal Wear, we have mastered the rental business! Our goal is to ensure your tuxedo or suit fits you perfectly. We offer the largest in stock selection of tuxedos, suits, and accessories in the area. As the premier formal wear specialist in Athens, we assist our customers with attire for weddings, proms, formals, and any other specials occasions. All of our staff members are trained to walk each customer through our rental process with ease. We pride ourselves in our fitting process which includes taking measurements, trying on attire, and remeasuring and marking for necessary adjustments. All of our rental orders are ready the Thursday prior to the use date of the order unless another date is specified at the time of the order. We prefer that our customers try on their rental when picking up. This way, we can make any changes to best suit his or her needs by making corrections and alterations in house.

Retail Services

We pride ourselves in not only offering superior rental services but retail services as well! We carry many different styles of both tuxedos and suits as well as different fits. Some of our retail lines come as nested suits and others come as jacket and pants separates to guarantee the perfect fit, for each customer. We stock tuxedo shirts, dress shirts, and any accessory our customers need to complete the look. Unlike many other menswear stores, our staff is not paid on commission and will not try to pressure our customers into buying merchandise they neither want nor need. Some retail orders are non refundable due to the custom alterations required.

Weddings

At Perno’s Formal Wear, we seek to make sure all of our brides and grooms have a wonderful experience from start to finish! The last thing we want any wedding to worry about is attire. We have a Wedding Specialist on staff to assist all of our wedding customers. Because we own and stock our own inventory, our staff can make alterations and adjust garments in the same day. We ask that our brides and grooms come in before their big day to sit down with us and discuss styles, colors, and fit. Once we have established what attire each member of the wedding will be wearing, the party may come in any time to be fitted and try on the correct attire. For any customer who is unable to be fitted in the store, we ask that they submit professional measurements on our Contact Us page. At the time the order is placed, a $50 non refundable deposit is required. This deposit serves as a credit toward the final price and will not be refunded after the order is returned or cancelled.

For weddings with six or more in the wedding party, the groom’s rental is free! Each member of the wedding party will receive $50 off his or her order too, if they rent the whole package!

We also offer a hotel pickup service at many of our surrounding hotels. We ask that a member of the wedding party verifies this request with our staff a week prior to the wedding or at pick up.

Proms

We look forward to serving our local high schools once prom time rolls around! We carry a plethora of styles and fits to make sure our customers feel their best. Our prom packages include jacket, pants, shirt, vest, cummerbund or suspenders, Windsor or bow tie, shoes, and a Perno’s Formal Wear t-shirt. We have the largest selection of colors to coordinate with any dress, and we have fits that range from ultra slim fit to classic fit. During a prom fitting, we ask that our customers come prepared to have a great experience! One of our sales associates will promptly measure the individual placing the order and have him or her try on the appropriate garments for the order. Once the fit and style of jacket and pants have been established, our staff will work to customize the look with our accessories. We recommend coming a month to two weeks ahead of time to guarantee the styles are available for the set wear date, but we are happy to accommodate week of orders with no rush fees! At the time the order is placed, a $50 non-refundable deposit is required. This amount goes towards the balance of the order and will not be refunded upon return of the order. Once the party is over, the rental will be due back the following business day.

Formals

We have been happily serving our surrounding fraternity and sorority communities for over 30 years! We offer our Greek Special for a discounted rate of $97.15 for any registered greek formal event. During the month of April, the Greek Special is not offered. We will happily extend our $50 off prom promotion to our Greek community during that time.

Our Greek Special includes our classic black tuxedo jacket, modern fit pants, a tuxedo shirt, black bowtie, black cummerbund, & black patent shoes. Adjustments to our Greek Special can be accommodated for small up charges due to limited supply of inventory.
